Saisei Networks technology has been pioneered by some of the Internet industry’s most innovative technologists, including Dr. Larry Roberts, widely recognized as one of the “four fathers” of the Internet.

A key watershed point enabling Saisei’s advanced flow routing technology is the dramatic reduction in the cost of memory within systems (primarily routers) responsible for shuttling packets through the Internet and enterprise networks. It has long been understood by network and system engineers that, given sufficient memory, it would be far superior in terms of system performance and bandwidth efficiency to manage traffic on a flow level (layer four) rather than a packet level (layer three). The problem has been economics. It has simply been too expensive to provision systems with sufficient memory to operate at a flow level. But that is no longer the case.

Saiseis Anagran product has pioneered a number of technologies that take advantage of reduced memory costs and increased ability to manage traffic at a flow level. These technologies, in turn, have yielded a number of benefits for network operators: increased user throughput, reduced network congestion, enhanced handling of quality sensitive traffic, and reduced susceptibility to applications with adverse side effects such as peer-to-peer file sharing.
